How this website handles your information, in plain terms. This page covers the xcelerent.com website — what it measures, the cookies it sets, and where your details go when you contact me or book a call. This is a plain-language summary, not a formal legal privacy policy; if you need one prepared to the Australian Privacy Act, it should be written and reviewed with proper legal advice. What this website measures#
One privacy-conscious analytics tool runs only on the live site — never on previews or local builds — so I can see which pages help and where people get stuck:
- Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC) — pages visited, roughly where in the world a visit came from, device and browser, and how you arrived. It reports aggregate patterns; Google states GA4 does not log or store IP addresses.
It sets cookies and is governed by Google’s own terms. I use what it reports to improve the site, not to identify you. Google is US-based, so this measurement data is processed overseas.
There used to be a second tool here, Microsoft Clarity, for heatmaps and session replays. It was removed in September 2026: it set a Microsoft advertising identifier that lasted about 13 months, on every visit, before anyone clicked anything — and there is no way to keep the heatmaps without it. That is not a trade worth making on a site that asks you to trust it with confidential work. The site itself is hosted on Netlify (Netlify, Inc., US), whose standard server logs record visitor IP addresses.
The value check stays in your browser#
The AI value-check calculator runs entirely in your browser. The numbers and notes you enter are not sent, stored, or submitted anywhere — they never leave your device, and closing the page clears them.
When you contact me or book a call#
- The contact form is handled by Formspree (Formspree, Inc.); your name, email, and message are sent to me so I can reply and decide whether there is a sensible next step.
- Booking a discovery call is handled by Cal.com (Cal.com, Inc.); you share your name, email, and a chosen time.
Both are US-based providers, governed by their own terms — Formspree and Cal.com — so these details are processed overseas. Please do not send sensitive client data, credentials, or confidential documents through the form or the booking notes — bring those to a scoped engagement instead.
Cookies, and how to turn measurement off#
Google Analytics sets cookies, and you stay in control:
- Block or clear cookies in your browser, and turn on Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control if your browser offers them.
- Opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add-on.
The site works fine with analytics blocked.
