How this website handles your information, in plain terms. This page covers the xcelerent.com website — what it measures, the cookies it sets, and where your details go when you contact me or book a call. How I handle your organisation’s data during an engagement is a separate, stricter topic, covered on Security & data handling. This is a plain-language summary, not a formal legal privacy policy; if you need one prepared to the Australian Privacy Act, it should be written and reviewed with proper legal advice. Xcelerent operates from Sydney, Australia.
What this website measures#
Two privacy-conscious analytics tools run only on the live site — never on previews or local builds — so I can see which pages help and where people get stuck:
- Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC) — pages visited, roughly where in the world a visit came from, device and browser, and how you arrived. It reports aggregate patterns; Google states GA4 does not log or store IP addresses.
- Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corporation) — interaction data such as clicks, scrolls, and navigation, used to build heatmaps and session replays that show where a page is confusing. Clarity masks the text you type by default.
Both set cookies and are governed by their providers’ own terms — Google and Microsoft. I use what they report to improve the site, not to identify you. Google and Microsoft are US-based, so this measurement data is processed overseas. The site itself is hosted on Netlify (Netlify, Inc., US), whose standard server logs record visitor IP addresses.
The value check stays in your browser#
The AI value-check calculator runs entirely in your browser. The numbers and notes you enter are not sent, stored, or submitted anywhere — they never leave your device, and closing the page clears them.
When you contact me or book a call#
- The contact form is handled by Formspree (Formspree, Inc.); your name, email, and message are sent to me so I can reply and decide whether there is a sensible next step.
- Booking a discovery call is handled by Cal.com (Cal.com, Inc.); you share your name, email, and a chosen time.
Both are US-based providers, governed by their own terms — Formspree and Cal.com — so these details are processed overseas. Please do not send sensitive client data, credentials, or confidential documents through the form or the booking notes — bring those to a scoped engagement instead.
Cookies, and how to turn measurement off#
The analytics above set cookies, and you stay in control:
- Block or clear cookies in your browser, and turn on Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control if your browser offers them.
- Opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add-on.
- Microsoft Clarity is governed by the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
The site works fine with analytics blocked.
