I build a governed AI voice assistant that answers your business phone line and holds a natural conversation with the caller — answering from your distilled internal knowledge, showing where each answer came from, and handing to a human the moment it should. I build it to run in production, not slideware.
There’s no app for anyone to install. The assistant lives on the number your clients already call: it picks up, greets them, tells them it’s an AI, works out why they’re calling, and answers. It works with the phone setup you already have — your office line or a cloud phone system — so there’s no new hardware to buy, and nothing the people calling you need to do differently.
How a call works#
The number your clients already call — no app, no new hardware.
Greets the caller and says, up front, it's an AI.
Understands why they're calling, follows the flow you defined.
From your reviewed knowledge only — the source behind each answer.
Anything sensitive or out of scope goes to a person.
Every call logged — recording and consent to your policy.
Illustrative, not a recording — a conceptual view of one governed call. Nothing consequential happens without a person, every answer carries its source, and every call is logged.
I build this for firms in Australia and across APAC; fit for other jurisdictions is confirmed on a quick call.
The difference is what it knows#
AI receptionists that read a fixed script — or guess from the open web — already exist. The difference is the knowledge behind yours. I distill your reviewed internal knowledge — your policies, precedents, service details, and process — into a governed layer, so the assistant answers from your firm’s actual knowledge, with sources, instead of generic filler. It’s the same governed knowledge that feeds your automated reports, now answering your callers.
What a governed voice assistant does for you#
- Answers your business line. It picks up the number your clients already call, greets them, and discloses that it’s an AI.
- Follows a call flow you define. It works out why they’re calling and handles each intent the way you decide — the way a report has a defined scope.
- Answers from your distilled knowledge. Retrieve-and-cite from your reviewed sources only, with the source behind each answer — so it can be checked, not taken on faith.
- Hands to a human when it should. Anything out of scope, sensitive, or low-confidence goes to a person; every call is logged.
- Sorts the next step on the call. For non-urgent matters it needn’t answer in the moment — it can schedule a call back, book a meeting, or email the details back, arranged right there in the conversation.
- Stays in your control. Governed, guardrailed, and disclosed as AI — your knowledge, your rules.
Governance, built in#
- Callers are told they’re speaking with an AI.
- It answers only from reviewed, published knowledge — with the source behind each answer — and a human takes over for anything consequential.
- Call recording, consent, and data handling are set up to fit your jurisdiction and your policies.
The person building it is a Microsoft-certified data engineer and MarkLogic Certified Administrator & Developer who already builds and runs live conversational AI in production (KindyWords) — see credentials.
